WhoHelpsHere puts one question to open humanitarian data, district by district: who is listed as helping here, how much of that response is led by national and local organisations, how severe the situation is, whether it is getting worse, and where recorded need meets almost no listed presence. Every figure on this site carries its source, its reference period and a link back to the dataset it came from, so you can check it yourself.

The operational presence dataset lists organisations that reported activity through a country's coordination structures. Reporting is voluntary and incomplete, and small local organisations are the least likely to appear. A district showing few or no organisations may be well served by groups that never report. Please use the correction and declaration forms to tell us what we are missing.

How to read this site

Numbers here describe what organisations have reported to shared humanitarian datasets. They are not a census of who is present. An organisation that does not report is invisible to this site even if it is working every day in the district. Treat a low count as a question to ask locally, not as proof of absence. Where a district has no published data we say so instead of showing a zero.
